Kevin Lee

From Loudonville, NY, Kevin is a junior at the Albany Academies. As a lead member of the school’s Science Bowl team, his interest in biology and chemistry has helped the team design the splint’s chemical reactions for the best patient impact.

In San Francisco, CA, Kevin attends Convent & Stuart Hall High School as a senior. As the president of the school coding and robotics clubs, he is in charge of the technical design aspects of both the splint and the website.

Jeffery Shi

From Peekskill, NY, Jeff is a senior at the Hotchkiss School. As the head of the Hotchkiss Medical Society and active volunteer at his local hospital, his interactions with patients and passion for medicine helps the team’s inflatable splint design and website from a medical and health perspective.

Yani Xiao

From Niskayuna, NY, Yani is a Junior at the Niskayuna High School. As a science enthusiast and volunteer at the college lab, she applies her experience to the splint’s design, testing, and market potential analysis.

Mission Statement

"Our commitment to providing superior care and comfort equips first responders and individuals with the most innovative tool for immediate and effective injury treatment. Inspired by personal sports-related injuries and our research project on badminton injuries and personal, we aim to use our work with the Conrad Challenge to enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and effectiveness of first aid response, especially in critical and remote environments. By integrating advanced origami folding techniques and a unique chemically activated cooling system, we provide a compact, easy-to-use, and therapeutic solution for stabilizing injuries. "
